Need to handle weapon tiers better at end game...

This issue won't go away until SE stops coddling the fragile egos of raiders who fancy themselves "pros" (Don't even try to argue this point. The posts here practically scream it out). The expense and time required for an i210 relic was absurd once Gobdip became available for farthings. At this point, the item requirement should really have been cut by half or more.

To those saying that people should just join raid groups, take a look at your average Party Finder comments and ask yourself if you're willing to put up with a 13-year-old with a Napoleon complex. Moreover, would you be willing to put up with potential verbal abuse if certain groups require voice chat?

I have been in countless raid groups over the years in multiple different games and I have never had even one person who spouted 'verbal abuse' to any member of the team, and if they did they were promptly kicked and replaced, no one wants to play with such a person. (Never seen a 13 year old in a raid group either so not sure where that is from lol.)

Raiding is about making friends and doing challenging content with people you enjoy playing with. Your attitude about it tells me that you have never actually been in a group before, or you have been in a very poor one and never tried again, otherwise you would know this. If people don't get along, then the static won't even last a day.

Anyway, that bit aside, you should ask yourself what you even need these weapons for. As I said, alt classes don't need anything higher than a 210 weapon, if you're decent at the game you will still do plenty of damage in full 210 for every bit of casual and 24 man content out there, and if you don't want to do even an extreme primal to get a weapon better than that, than why do you even want it? To gloat about numbers in pugs? And you say raiders have napoleon complexes. :P

Well, technically I was trying to be civil about it, but we all know how civil works on the internet. -_^

PF has other issues as well, such as offering dps twice as many spots compared to healers and tanks due to the needed composition.

Not really. His points all hit the nail on the head and you just proved it by asking the same question that has been answered already, which is why people need to have a weapon greater than x level if x level is just "good enough" for non-raid content. I'm starting to wish people would actually look in the forum to see if the question has been answered before instead of constantly asking the same tired old thing.

I could say the same thing about yourself, why should they coddle to YOUR fragile ego at not having an easy powerful weapon. Why do YOU need it? clear Drex faster? do Primals? (oh wait, you don't)
I help people who are willing to help themselves but what you are saying is basically entitlement.

Many of us did do these primals early on with crappy weapons, put up with the badders, dealt with the toxicity. It can be done if one is determined.
Like I said, I really don't mind/care about a person's gear with regards to helping them along if they want to help themselves.
Plus, Sephirot has now been nerfed and echoed, a progression path still exists.

My Free Company Leader was the one that told me to get a 230 weapon for Niddhogg EX before tackling it, it does indeed make a world of difference.

I don't understand the hesitation to get a 230 weapon by doing midas. Whether you raid or not, M4 is the best boss fight ever made in this game, the music alone when you fight the final form of the boss is worth it, you're really missing out if you don't kill it.

My group and I found NidhoggEX a lot easier than SephirotEX. We learned the whole thing and beat it with just 4 wipes. Sephirot on the other hand, took a couple days. (I think 4 or 5 instance timers?)

It takes 7 freaking weeks it you start from scratch.
The Midan Gear is still on a lockout.

People have to take the exact same route as we already did almost 4 months ago. And this is absurd considering that an i230 weapon is now a standard for tackling Nidhogg Ex and Midas (at least for midcores who are late to the party).

3.3 was supposed to be a catch up patch. But the weapon is the only exception.
