"Head of the Class" quest bug

Thanks for the tips Kai, however it didn't stop the freezing - created the 5 toadskin jackets but it still froze.

Steps:
1. Npc will freeze my char. without any dialogue showing up (can still view and interact in /linshell chat, /tells etc.)
2. Journal information given for the synths is incorrect
3. Will not let me create the synths through the "Requested Synthesis" option
4. Tried creating the 5 Toadskin Jackets it requested in the journal log and talking to the NPC again, however my char. still froze.
5. tried zoning and talking to the npc multiple times but it still won't work.
