Arachne Eve and Arachne Web

Arachne Eve, first boss of the Wiping City of Mhach and true to her name is a centaur-like spider. Arachne Web, A Crafting material use to make the Allagan inspired i110 gear and apprently came form a Chimerical miscreation dubbed Arachne.

Now I ask if the latter is the same as the former? Is there a connection between the two, or is this just a coincidence.

Nice catch! I assume that both are throwbacks to the progenitor Arachne of FFIV, but a possible connection is an interesting idea to explore.

I can think of a few excuses for them to be linked, even though Occam's Razor is giving me the stink-eye.

Perhaps the Allagan version was itself a synthesized voidsent and we're seeing something more pure.

Or perhaps Arachne was sacrificed to the void by Allag only to come back via Mhachi meddling...

I thought about that connection too when I looked at the description of Arachne Web, but other than name, I'm not too sure if Arachne eve is connected to the Alagan creation, though.

When killed, Arachne Eve says lord Forgall needs to be warned, so I am guessing that she might have been a Voidsent?
