Relative spawn rate of Aquapolis?

So does anyone have a rough estimate on aquapolis portal spawn rates? I blew through 10 maps and did not get it once. Heck I don't even know what the portal looks like yet.

Also SE mentioned you can do it some other time if you get disconnected or somesuch by spawning the aquapolis map in your key items. If say you aren't prepared to tackle it when you get it are there other ways to "store" the aquapolis access aside from a dc?

I also assume you can only have 1 at any given time.

Did 10 maps yesterday no portals. Did 9 the day before and we got a portal 3 times and made it to the last room twice. Giveth with one hand, taketh away with the other.

I've done approximately 15 maps and have only made it inside Aquapolis three times.

Some people on my server are suggesting the rate was reduced with the maintenance immediately after patch 3.3.

Before the maintenance, 4 times out of 5 it opened.

After maintenance, only 3 times out of 10.

And it seems like there are more "troll" doors than ones that just open right away. To be honest, I'm pretty tired of the troll doors.

There are troll doors.
They were just talking about the animation (looks like it might close, but still lets you in... or even later rainbow animations).
They were not talking about the actual chance of it working or not.

The animation is a troll animation = "troll doors."

I have had all doors open instantly to the end no cs, all rainbow doors, rainbow doors with instant and rainbow doors, instant and glowing. As for finding portal we always go with 10-15 maps and have had various success even 100% portal spawn rate and other runs only had 1 in 15. 50/50 doesn't mean u will find it every other map.
