    House resell timer

Hello with all of the commotion on house sellers/buyers why not just add a random timer on the house after it is demolished. When the house is demolished it would be put back on the market at a random time within the 24 or 48 hours. This way it will discourage the buying/selling between players and gives a fair chance for anyone to buy a house when the timer run up.

People will stop buying up all the land because in order to resell it the buyer has to be watching their computer screen anywhere between 1 to 48 hours. The sellers will have a hard time finding buyers with this kind of rule since the buyer will risk loosing if they log off because of work, school or any reason they might walk away from their screen.

BTW this rule would only apply when someone demolishes their home and not when SE releases new plots to buy.

I guess it'd be fair, but the RNG factor would frustrate people just as much, I'd imagine. There are people who really want homes, but no matter how badly they want it, I doubt they'd want to give up their entire day and next just to camp that plot. But if they don't camp, then they get to go to work and/or school knowing that the house they've been waiting for for the past couple of years could be gone already and they didn't really have a chance.
It could even turn into something like FF11 where people set up claim bots for HNMs.

What if instead of it being a random "cooldown" period, it were a fixed-duration auction period? Let there be a minimum bid increment too, so that you don't have people always going bid+1. And extend the bidding duration by a day after the latest bid (if there's under a day left), so that everyone has a chance to respond to bids regardless of their timezone. If no one bids during the auction period, the plot goes on sale for the diminishing prices we see now.
This could even apply when new housing wards are released.

edit: maybe also make it so that an account can only have one bid going at a time

Never played FF11 not sure if its possible to have a bot sitting next to a house trying to buy it. The auction thing wont stop people from buying everything up and reselling. I get that people want a house and I did too during the 3.3 rush. As of right now the only way to buy a house on a full server is to buy it off someone by paying the owner millions to demolish the house then paying millions to buy the house hence driving the house market up preventing you and me from owning a house in the future patches. The purpose of my suggestion is to stop people with multiple houses from buying anymore houses since it will be hard to convince the buyer to sit in the lot and wait.

The same thing will happen with the next housing patch. the housing market is easy money if you're lucky enough to grab some and sell. If this idea made it to the future patch, would you be willing to buy a house off someone or buy a large lot for 50 million+ and try to sell it? I wouldn't, knowing that i have to stay online anywhere between 48 hours or that the buyers dont want to risk the 48hr roulette. The people who do buy up all the plot just to resell them will drop. By the time ishgard housing comes out more people without housing will have a chance to get one without racing the re-sellers(house flippers or whatever you call them).
