Even though it's not my main, I do enjoy dabbling in ast once and a while. When I do, I actually prefer being in noct. Mostly because I'm so used to being the proactive scholar.I'm constantly amazed how many ASTs have this "i like to play Diurnal only" stance, then when they get paired with another AST it's like no one wants to switch. (I'm guessing these situations they were solo-queued, and are not AST mains so they were so used to status quo).
Eh, I do this when I know I'm going to be healing heavily or experienced heavy mp issues in a particular trial (just.... never in dungeons...), new people learning/mistakes or realizing I'm in a derp party. :/
I'd spread Ewer, RR another card, Draw a third, place it on whomever based on the who/what/card and save the ewer for that emergency (then rinse and repeat until the ewer is needed). I usually tend to need it badly by add phase in SephEX or add phase in Niddhog (usually from new people deaths, just prior).
It's really strange - I prefer Noct in trials/raids, but I'm only really experienced with WHM, so I would assume I'd prefer to be a mini WHM in Diurnal.... I have SCH to 60, but only after a lot of off and on leveling, so I'm not particularly experienced or proficient.... and not really a play style I feel confident in, even if the shielding concept is similar.
And yet I prefer Noct stance in pro-actively pre-shielding and pre-casting.
