Help needed: Just came back and stuck in Main Story Quest

Hi Everyone -

I just came back after a two year (almost to the day) absence. Good to be back, so much has changed! I digress, to my question...

I want to complete the main story quest line. Last I left off I was completely done. This was long before the 2.1 patch and before the addition of many, many main storyline quests. The last main storyline quest at that time was "The Ultimate Weapon". According to everything I read the next quest (the start of the 7th Astral Era Quests) is "The Price of Principles". The only pre-requisite I see for starting that quest is having finished "The Ultimate Weapon". Yet when I go to the Waking Sands to find Minifilia to start the quest she isn't there. What am I doing wrong?

Yup, I did check the Solar.

I also checked my journal to make sure I actually completed "The Ultimate Weapon". My software is also up to date (I was even crazy enough to buy Heavensward knowing it will be weeks before I can use it. Crazy I know!).

Although I'm not sure why she wouldn't be there anyway, just to be certain have you at least unlocked the Hard Mode versions of Ifrit, Titan and Garuda, and gained your relic weapon? It's possible there might a quest flag in the 2.1 patch story that expects the player would have done those first before allowing the patch quests to continue (and thus have Minfilia appear in the Solar). But that's a long shot (the Gamerescape page for it does not mention that as a requirement, and if it wasn't Minfilia should still be in the Solar regardless).

So either this is a bug, or there is something else about this than meets the eye.

The relic weapon would not be part of the MSQ flags for sure, BUT the hard mode trials is a good thought. They have to be completed before Heavensward can be accessed atleast.

True, but they are not needed until very late in the 2.x quest-line. Certainly not needed just to start the post-2.0 MSQ.

That is my problem, the NPC isn't showing up for me to start the quest. And no I have no other quests open. If I can't resolve my issue here is there somewhere else more official I can turn to for help?

I looked at your achievement quests on your lodestone page and your last quest achievement was at least completing then main scenario quest "Through the Maelstrom" (which is past "The Price of Principles"). Minfilla is no longer in the Waking Sands but is now located at the Rising Stones in Mor Dhona. I would check the Rising Stones for a main scenario quest flag next.

I think I know the problem.
SE reorganized the journal so that the patch quests are on a separate tab from the ARR launch quests.

Open your journal and go to completed quests. Where is says Main Scenerio quests there is a drop down menu, select "Seventh Astral Era Main Scenerio Quests" to see where you left off in the patch storyline.
