    My Diadem Concept

    You can bypass the word limit by using the 'edit post' function. Post your concept here using that method because I have no intention of running off to reddit to read it. Failing that the least you could could is write a short summary here so would know if worth the effort of following your link.

    I don't think Diadem will see a fairly massive change... We're meant to be getting some new exploratory missions at some point, so I'd just hope that'll be better... I suspect Diadem may go the way of Secure and Slaughter; SE will just forget about it. A shame, it still has a lot of potential IMO...

    I think they really just need to change Diadem so we can stay longer... I'd rather have a time extension off the objectives than tomestones, have it so you clear three objectives and get, IDK, +15m duration or something, then refresh the objectives, with them getting increasingly harder to fulfill. Then you've got a situation where you're actually traveling about doing various objectives, instead of sitting on one spot grinding the same thing until you're kicked out... It would actually feel more like an exploration mission then... You'd still get kicked out eventually, but it would be much more engaging to extend your time there similar to Abyssea...

    Beyond that, I'd just add spawn triggers and reduce enemy HP... The bullet sponge nature of enemies in Diadem is ridiculous IMO and a large part of why parties grouped up, and HNMs being Hunts second coming is just incredibly disappointing... Not even Final Fantasy XI really handled NMs this way, that game was quick to embrace pop items for NMs, I remember Sky/Sea/ZNMs/etc. a whole lot more fondly than I remember things like Fafnir and King Behemoth... Trigger items would also enhance the exploration aspect somewhat, rather than grinding the same mobs, you'd be going after X mob to spawn Y NM that'll drop something so you can spawn Z HNM... That feels like an event, Diadem just feels like a lazy Hunts instance... Guess they might as well remove the gear, too... Just drop Spoils directly, the gear is a needless middle-man at this point, it would also be much fairer if 1 bronze chest = everyone gets 1 Spoil, rather than 1 person getting a Spoil... Might want to change some of the quantities of items required/obtained with Spoils, since compared to other methods of obtaining some of this stuff, Diadem Spoils are pretty terrible...

    Gathering is still pointlessly added into Diadem as well, I guess... If objectives resulted in more time in Diadem, gathering would be slightly more important, since they're much easier objectives to clear, but still... The concept would seem to be that some gather while others defend them, but that only really works for Fisher (which has its own problem of unclear fishing locations...), Miner and Botanist are too busy flying around the map for nodes for that to work at all... Having gathering result in pop items for NMs would be great, but they'd still be flying around getting annoyed by mobs that one hit them... Node locations need to be adjusted IMO...

    Though like I said, I think the developers are done with Diadem... I'd like them to change it, but I really doubt they ever will... Prove me wrong, Yoshida...

    If they are done with it they need to stop putting new craft mats in there. I am fully disgusted with the way they did the gather section.
