Extra housing item limit... when??? PLS DEV OR MOD REPLY TO THIS :O

I know this has been asked in the past but it seems this is a forgotten subject of late so when will we finally get more housing item limit???

Nothing about this for patch 3.3 yet they said it would come at 1 point ... shall I assume they are waitin for server upgrades or something ???

It would be real nice if someone finally gives us some closure on this matter :O

With all the new items that keep coming it's becoming harder to remove other items to take it's place at this point it's become a matter of "what nice looking item shall i throw away to make room for the new item"

Also....200 items isn't nearly enough for mansion but this has been known for 2 years now what's the hold up??? Can we pls have a reply on this matter and why it's taking so long to make this happen???

It's like to see the display culling issues in a large house fixed first before giving us more spots.
It's nice to have a lot of items, but if you can't see them all at once...

hmmm yes i could understand outside garden could be a problem to raise item limit but at least inside the home it should be possible

Unfortunately they haven't said anything about it for 3.3 so although they might still drop it on us, I feel they would have said something already if that was the plan (like they know people wanted more houses so they've stopping us shouting at them by telling us more housing is coming in 3.3 etc).

All I've managed to find on the subject from SE:

May 2015:

The development team is aware of the numerous requests to increase the amount of furnishings that can be placed both indoors and outdoors. Although it is difficult to give more details on this at this time, we haven't stopped considering this, and we'll be sure to let you know once we have more updates.

August 2015 (XVIII):

Q: Large size houses feel empty. Can you increase the cap on the amount of furnishings we can place?
A: We’ve been using all our energy to increase the amount of land, so we haven’t been able to touch this aspect of housing. However, with the new wards that were added, I feel that we’ve just about fulfilled the demands.

We’ll continue to add more land, but we’d like to improve the utility of each house.

However, the team that is in charge of housing, known as the Live Team, is also in charge of Free Company elements and the Gold Saucer, and they’re currently devoting all their energy to Free Company crafting and the Gold Saucer. We expect that they will be able to address this afterwards, but they will need a bit of time.

August 2015 (XXIII):

Q: Do you have any plans to increase the number of furnishings we can place in our house?
A: We’re currently working on features that will automatically relinquish houses that haven't been used in some time, as well as a feature for moving your house, and thinking of increasing the cap after this, so please give us some more time. We’re first going to deal with the shortage of available land

And I don't think there's been any further word since then, so it doesn't look promising for any time soon since it doesn't look like they're even working on it yet, just considering for the future

Found one more. At least this one is this year, even if it still doesn't give any concrete times.

Yeah sadly that's pretty much the latest we heard from this matter i'll stick to my thoughts on this.... i think they waitin for teh server upgrades to do this so maybe around 4.0 expansion

Thank-you for asking about this.
This is the one thing I always look forward to each patch since housing came out, and then feel disappointed afterwards.

Also a question:
How many small houses could you fit in a mansion?

Yes please! I have been item capped in my small house and have the layout just right, but it took so many item slots to hide lanterns everywhere to get backlighting effects and other cool things that I had to leave empty spots on my display shelf! Others may have the same issues since a recent item from only a few months ago during an event was a display shelf. This is just one example of little things that I can't do since I'm at the item cap. Plus playing the little game of "which cool item needs to go" each time items are released has to go! Anyway, this is one of them feature upgrades I am MOST looking forward to!

Agreed op, very much needed improvement that has been needed for a very long time now. I hope to buy a mansion one day, but even for now, with a medium house ,I have one floor completely empty and blocked off due to such a low item limit. The other 2 floors are "not bad" but still need added lighting accents etc.

Got very used to 2k+ item limits in Rift to build anything we could imagine...this housing design is soooooo basic, at the very least se, please double indoor and outdoor item limit to make up for the sheer lack of creativity we have and so we can at least somewhat get the atmosphere we are trying to achieve.. tyty!!!
