Are Red Scripts useless now?

I'm going to augment all the red scrip gear i got for my gathers with reds. I've made tons of money gathering and didn't need to do any melds. They added 180 level gather jewelry and belt this patch which is also bought with reds. Basically a time investment. I'm at 210/450 reds this morning already on reset.

Hmm Well it seems for Gatherer Red Scripts are still nice. After all there was no crafted gear before this patch so everyone had to work for the i180. The Augmented ones seems quite strong an OP for the current nodes. They didnt add anything that i170 couldnt. But Crafting red scripts its another story.

Well I'm using mine to upgrade my gathering gear.

I do have about a hundred red scrip TOKENS that need a use now, though.
Don't worry, I can find a use for them.

If you don't need the materia or can't desynth the i180 gear, and you haven't finished your folklore collection, you can convert them to blue scrip tokens and do the latter.

If you have them all, I guess you can level desynthing, since i180 gear can desynth into glass fibers (used for the crafted i190 stuff)

Have all my folklore...I also have a good stock of Materia so I don't really need that.
I don't craft, at all....so.

Some of my friends who do craft need a few favours done though, so I'll get off my butt and do those for them. And I guess I can turn a few into Blue Scrip tokens when I run out of poetics to fund my relic but....
it just took so long to gather that many, yanno? Oh well it's not like i'm not used to capping every week.

Hmm Desynthesis can generate some money I guess. Materias Grade IV meh the prices went to the floor with the new quest and Ixali's etc so now they are quite affordable with gils. If only they would let use buy Grade V >.<
