Are Red Scripts useless now?

There has been a claim that Glass Fiber farming can be relatively easy with the use of blue scripts and desynthing. Mind you that the sample rate here is still small, but it looks promising enough to give it a try:

"Each piece of gear only costs 3 Blue Gathering Scrip Tokens + 1 Type-1 Counterfoil."

Well I'm using mine to upgrade my gathering gear.

I do have about a hundred red scrip TOKENS that need a use now, though.
Don't worry, I can find a use for them.

If you don't need the materia or can't desynth the i180 gear, and you haven't finished your folklore collection, you can convert them to blue scrip tokens and do the latter.

If you have them all, I guess you can level desynthing, since i180 gear can desynth into glass fibers (used for the crafted i190 stuff)

Have all my folklore...I also have a good stock of Materia so I don't really need that.
I don't craft, at all....so.

Some of my friends who do craft need a few favours done though, so I'll get off my butt and do those for them. And I guess I can turn a few into Blue Scrip tokens when I run out of poetics to fund my relic but....
it just took so long to gather that many, yanno? Oh well it's not like i'm not used to capping every week.

Hmm Desynthesis can generate some money I guess. Materias Grade IV meh the prices went to the floor with the new quest and Ixali's etc so now they are quite affordable with gils. If only they would let use buy Grade V >.<
