Ridiculous Housing

What happened this morning on Balmung concerning housing was ridiculous. Why is a digital resource like game housing limited in such a manner? Seriously, fifteen to twenty minutes this morning and every house was sold.

Why is it even possible for one person to buy more than two houses?
