Aquapolis Raiders (story time, folks!)

So, it’s been what? Just under 24 hours since the new patch was released for people to enjoy? Or something like that… anyway! Has anyone managed to get into the new Aquapolis feature? If so, how far did you get? Did you get any goodies? Or did you scream when you saw the bosses drop from above? Maybe you got kicked out?

This is basically a thread about adventures in the Aquapolis, guys, so don’t, y’know, get salty because you’re reading this and haven’t been able to get in there yet. Trust me, it will happen!

As for me, well…

Having done about 7 dragonskin maps with a bunch of friends from my FC, we only managed to spawn the Aquapolis portal 4 times out of the lot. We went in as a full party of 8 (2 tanks, 2 healers, 4 DPS) and the furthest we managed to get was into chamber #6. Along the way, I saw three minion drops (x2 blue birds and a tonberry), Thravarian dresses (both types!) and other clothes! (I managed to snag an Expeditioners tabard, yay!), some tier V materia and other bits and pieces like Moonbeam silk and normal map drops.

The worst thing however, at least in my opinion, was picking the doors. My group was trolled so hard by the system! At times we thought that we’d done it, that we’d be able to progress and the screen would flash red before it changed and opened the next door for us. Other times, it was flash gold and the door would open instantly instead of having a small scary delay. I think what made it bad however, was the fact that 6 out of 8 of us were in a PSN voice chat so we were fretting aloud xD

First time we got to Chamber 4, most of the items were crafting materials and one mindflayer which I already had. Kinda had the rules that chest was owners, dungeon was free-for-all and owner got to pick the doors.

First map I used, portal popped and we got to the 4th chamber before we got booted. Next attempt, we cleared the entire 7 room challenge! We mostly got glamour gear, dissolvents, crafting materials, materia, and even minions.

got to room 6 on my 1st trip in (not my map) saw 2 Thanavarian gear items (fem top & hands) & the explorer hands dyeable... those doors thou main to they ever Troll u at times. 2nd trip in made it to 5th room got surprized by drop-down boss in room 4 & almost wiped (thank u SE for letting us change classes in there, our BRD changed to SNM after to raise party, Kite'n kill for the win)

Saw 3 minions in total outa 5, 4th room-6th room, runs (Little mommy, Bluebird & Pasia) won mummy but had it already, hav yet to make it to room 7 (or deeper if there is another after 7)

went with a couple people from fc im in

my map didnt spawn dungeon but got the bluebird minion so was pretty stoked about that.. next map we did we got to 6th floor seen some nice drops from high crafting stuff to thavarian glamours and minions

I went 8/8 with my FC. First time we managed to get all the way to floor 7. We did maps for a couple hours and we couldn't get past the first floor in any map after that. XD

Did 4 maps spawned Aquapolis Twice. Beat room 6 twice but couldn't get 7.

i thought 1st door was instant success everytime?? since they more or less show you the correct 1 with all the flashy stuff lol

so every1 who ran it more then once were the mobs spawned each floor same everytime?? or are they completely random some faceroll easil to almost wiping??
