Why are houses so expensive :(

I said nothing about the price levels. I just said that the price isn't the reason why houses are so hard to get. The scarcity of them is.

Fair enough. Part of the person you were responding to's point was that they could have priced them higher to combat scarcity. Your point was separate from that.

I agree. But like I said, hindsight is 20/20. When you're upset and disappointed with something, how often do you think clearly and logically? Basically: Yes, it would have been better, but since I can't be certain I would have done any better in that situation, I'm not going to throw any stones. =)

If I say something stupid here and get rapped on the nose for it, I learn from that. It changes how I post and respond. It likely will adjust the OP's behavior as well.

Someone mentioned desynthing. Such a great gil maker. There's normally a hump you have to get over but after that you just greed on everything you can in dungeons that you can desynth and run with it. After that last patch there were a bunch of new homeowners. They all need mailboxes. Those take a whisker from Thornmarch so I've been spamming that. Thornmarch drops moogle weapons, which desynth occationally into mog demimateria. That has been selling anywhere from 300-600k each and sometimes you will get 3 of them in one desynth! To say it's hard to make gil on this game just means you haven't tried very hard or done your research. Fully agree that houses are not expensive but lacking in numbers instead.
