In regards to this suggestion, we're planning to make some alterations in the future so that rare furnishings which are difficult to obtain (such as those with materials from trials and raids) are no longer lost upon removal. We're aiming to implement this a little bit after Patch 3.35, and are currently reviewing which furnishings we can do this for.
No. It needs to be all furnishings, with perhaps the exception of the hireling contracts. With how the current housing system works for rooms in Free Companies, we the players pay for our room and decorate it ourselves (And for most of us, this is the only way we'll ever get a room because there just aren't enough plots anywhere for personal housing). All it takes is for one trigger happy person with the ability to kick players out of a Free Company to suddenly lose every non-removable bit of furnishing in their room.

Our Free Company moved housing plots to upgrade to a mansion last year. My partner and I weren't able to play at the time of the move, so we each lost a bunch of non-removable furnishings because they had to kick us from the FC to get rid of our rooms so they could move. There is zero reason for this, and frankly it was a terrible decision to implement a system like this into the game. Make it so they bind just like other furnishings, of course. But you should never allow the game to flat out forbid us from keeping the items.

I would like to know that too. I guess is something related with the among of items each house and private chambers have vs the cost of maintenance, servers and storage, not sure though.

I agree that it should just be removed altogether. It never really made sense to me that it was the hard to acquire/create furniture that seemed to be the target of this tag vs the easily made furniture that fills the mb because it's a one and done purchase.

(It does give the warning about it both when you place a stable and when you remove one, just not in the item description tooltip.) If I noticed that being the case for one item, I wonder how many other such exceptions there are.
And it has the warning for the Manor Couch item description, but this is not true as you can free remove them.

FINALLY. Furnishings already bind upon placement; there was never any reason to make the rarest ones also explode if you try to take them out. Speaking of which, are there any plans to make lighting fixtures, floors, and wallpaper not explode as well?

Doesn't make sense why you'd only do this with the ones that are difficult to obtain. If the others are easy to obtain, then there shouldn't be an issue in letting people keep/move them.

Please don't review anything! Just do away with this pointless system in one go, it serves absolutely no point or reason - Keeping it on even one item would be completely illogical and baffling.

If you have to do a system where you only remove destroy-on-pickup from certain things (presumably leaving it on newer furnishings), please, please update it regularly. If the rate at which items are added to the armoire is any indication, we won't have destroy-on-pickup removed from new furnishing items until 6 months after everyone forgot they existed.

This would be great if they were bound to character or maybe a house and simply accessed from a drop down so you could swap'em out. The seasonal fixtures/papers/etc that never seem to return are a real crusher if you want to decorate for special seasons.
