This link is to the video of me trying to buy a house as soon as the patch went live. To those who didn't see what it was like you can see the fight for new plots first hand.

Regarding my attitude: After going almost half a year without a house I was caught up in the moment so there is swearing.

It's funny how you say that is a 'race'. You were able to take your sweet time. Balmung's houses were bought up almost instantly.

The houses were gone in less than an hour that was only the first 6 mins.

I can't understand why, if this was so important to you to get a house, you weren't already in Limsa with the gil in your pocket and ready to port to EXACTLY the ward you wanted, and go directly to the plot you wanted, with backup choices in place in case someone got there before you. As TheCurls said, looks like you had lots of choices and just couldn't decide what to do, as opposed to some folks who had no opportunity whatsoever to purchase a plot. I'm not even sure what you're trying to demonstrate with this video.

For the record I was sick the weekend so I didn't get to set up like I wanted & my FC member who was going to do it was a no show. You also missed the part where I lost the one I wanted and then 2 others ran up to buy the large plot. It only looks like I had choices 7 houses were gone from the ward I chose in less than the first 6 mins.

Feeling really sad for people who have been there since 1.0 ended, and got served this ... 'mess' again. A few minutes of housing available in years. The small Gil harvest->selling crowd using the flaws of the system to its full potential. Offering multiple small plots for 75m each in a (legacy) party finder. Oh dear. Lovely. Still it's hard to blame anything but the system and transfer policy itself.

4 Wards x 60 plots is 240...

I think you forgetting there are 4 wards with 60 plots for each city, 240 would be for one city housing area. 240 x 3 = 720

I'd be holding my monies already by or in the wards before logout o.o. Your vid made me antsy watching you take your time getting the money out and then jogging to the tele lol
