    Chocobo Stuck in Combat

    Time: 06/08/2016
    Frequency: One Time
    World name: Behemoth
    Character name: Ruruzan Fufuzan
    Retainer name: N/A
    NPC name: N/A
    Monster name: Ochu (I believe)
    Class/Level: White Mage/46
Party or solo: Party (Chocobo Companion)
    In-game time: Don't remember.
Area and coordinates: East Shroud Larkscall
    Housing: N/A
    Steps:
    1. Engaged in combat with a mob partied with my chocobo companion.
    2. After the mob was defeated, the companion continued to be in fighting stance, and the fighting music kept playing. I had no enmity and there were no more mobs in the area.
    3. As the companion did not recognize that combat had ended, it would not heal and you could not mount. To correct, I had to engage in combat again and flee. Then it stopped.

Unsure if this is a known bug, or not. Perhaps it is not a bug, and there is some mechanic I'm missing that'd keep the companion in battle (an affliction applied, maybe he got enmity of a mob that another player then attacked?). Don't know... but this feels an awful like a bug to me. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is any way to reproduce it. There was nothing odd or spectacular about the combat. For whatever reason, the chocobo just decided it wanted to keep fighting forever.

Was discussing this in another thread. The one key here is that I was fighting an Ochu which are known to give afflictions. My guess is that the chocobo was poisoned and stuck in fighting mode because it couldn't heal. I mean, the AI isn't that smart... so that's what it'd do. During my troubleshooting I caught emnity from another mob and by the time I had fled all was back to normal.

Thus, I don't really think this ia a bug per se. Perhaps an enhancement request to make companion AI a bit smarter, but wouldn't really think it is a bug.
