No response on housing availability for FCs?

My husband and I were two of the unlucky Fc owners who had enough to buy our dream medium house but were cursed with the server disconnect and couldn't make it back in in time.

While this is heartbreaking to me, not only because we couldn't get one but because of all of the other, similar stories I've heard, I have tried to be understanding. Server limitations, mistakes were made in regards to player housing, etc. I think the thing that makes me the most disheartened however is the fact that in the time since the patch, with all of the public outcry, I've seen nothing from the dev team in response, except more posts that people shouldn't be flipping houses for profit.

Almost every day, I've checked lodestone, reddit, these forums, and tumblr, and I've seen nothing official.

Has anyone heard anything? Preferably from AFTER 3.3, that shows that they actually care about this.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Still disappointing though. "We're not going to play favorites between solo players and FCs, but we're releasing more housing for solo players." I know the argument is that will alleviate some of the housing crunch and possibly free up some houses for FCs but people will still prefer to buy the current houses.

At least at the end they hinted they might be working on something else, but without any real confirmation that it's not just more solo-player housing, I've lost a lot of faith that the current system will ever be fixed. Ah well.

My only complaint with FC housing requests are the implications that FC's should have priority when anyone can shout for help to make a FC, then have those people leave. Then it's just a solo player with housing priority. I can understand, just a little, if the FC was huge (+100 members) and giving them all a house, but a small group of friends who play occasionally shouldn't have priority over a single player who plays a lot.

I already own a personal house, and having won real-world items* from player housing decorating in FFXI I feel like it's getting "more use" than a small FC could give it. I really, really love my house, and it was my absolute priority as soon as personal housing came out, dictating my RL schedule and my preparation prior to logging out that patch.
