A Fruitful Murder ~ Weaver story quest level 36

objective: make 10 luxurious gloves outside copperbell mines

required materials: 1 cotton yarn, 1 bolt raven-black velveteen

Question: How am i supposed to do this quest after 1.19 since raven-black dyer's moss no longer drops (used to make raven-black velveteen dye), and no one has any to sell?
Still having story quests from npc that require materials that are no longer available in game seems like an undersight by the ffxiv team and should be fixed. Should have updated the recipe to just use the all purpose black dye. and just have it 1 bolt velveteen, 1 cotton cloth, 1 black dye + the untradable item the quest gives you.

Hello ^^. Yes, Haru is correct that you can purchase Raven-black Velveteen from the WVR guild NPC Norbettaux for 6,720gil a piece. Just on a side note for the quest itself, since you have to synth the recipe at a specific location near the Copperbell Mines, I would recommend that you get guild support (depending on your rank) before your head over there and purchase more than 10 bolts of velveteen just in case you botch a synth or two. I still think it sucks that i could craft the mats myself and save myself the $$. Just the principle of it.
