Meaning you can go all shadowcat with walls? That's definitely something GM's will want to know.

Well shadowlalafell mainly but yes. The issue seems to occur on un-level ground like boulders where there are angles. In that particular area (which is also right dead in the middle of a quest) I can actually walk completely into the terrain and vanish entirely. I just let my head poke out for the screenshots. Also, if I move the camera "within" the texture, I can see inside of it (if that makes any sense).

Have you seen others do that, or is it your character specifically? If it's just you it might have something to do with your connection. I remember in WoW there were some walks you could go through by jerking your camera, don't ask me how though.

While I was snapping the screenshots, I saw someone run past me and jump in this area (it is part of a quest) and I thought I could see them sinking into the texture as well. So I think it is widespread and not related to my setup. I can post my system information if it helps; but in general I'm playing the PC version, 4K monitor w/3840x2160 resolution and a 980Ti graphics card (DirectX 11). My connection is a 150/150 MB fiber, direct 1G cable to source, no lag at all. This may just be a non-issue, perhaps they lightened up on collision detection in the area to aid with the quest? I don't know... but it looks weird and weighs heavy on my lalafell head!

Sounds like a flaw then. I've seen and reported bots who auto killed monsters from the safety of a wall, maybe it's a minor hack. Be sure to report it if you haven't already.

Actually, this may be a non-issue. The area where I've noticed this is a dungeon though I don't have access to it yet. Based on some quest text and other answers in another area of the forum, it looks like this may be intentional; i.e. the terrain goes away later in the game so is not "solid." Whereas I've experienced a similar issue in areas outside of Ul'dah, those are significantly more minor, and only a part of you gets buried in the terrain... which is probably just the way the graphics engine works; i.e. you can sort of "merge" into terrain at angles for a certain point before you snap out and above it. So, this is probably not a bug at all! I'll find out sooner or later.
