You never learn SE?

All the plots gone within first 5-10 minutes on the more populated servers. How did this go according to you developers?

I'm seriously so pissed off about this, I have been waiting for almost 2 years to be able to buy a plot without paying some douchebag extra +50000 mil for relinquishing.

Not quite as fast as that but yeah, they go quick. I got up 3 hours early to make sure I didn't miss out on a plot. And I've been waiting since day one of the announcement of personal housing. I feel your pain but, ... they need to learn to keep people from having multiple accounts in order to buy up housing. There is one player I know for fact running a minimum of 3 accounts and each account has 2 houses. 1 personal and 1 fc. They player even stated on these forums how they were looking to get all houses in each district. At that time last year, they had 5 of 9 houses. THAT is where the problem lies. But legally, there isn't anything they (SE) can do. That loser /smh sorry, "player" pays for 3 accounts so legitimately, they can do what they have done.

The large i managed to buy was the very last of its kind (also the most expensive mist plot @ 50 mil), only 3 or 4 minutes after the servers came back up. 14 minutes in, every house in the Mist and Lavender Beds was gone. 17 minutes in, all of the Goblet was bought up.

but that's always existed, and for some, what choice do they have? for some (including myself in the past) how else are they to secure a plot?

they are doing what must be done and in this case SE has no one to blame but themselves for poor management of their estate selling point. HOWEVER I think selling a plot for over quadruple what it's wroth is ridiculous and should be considered an absolute offense.

Any suggestions to get up early to get a house spot is like my old university telling the students to arrive early on campus to get a parking spot. In short, it's just an admission that there is a problem and the solution is to just displace the problem onto another person. Housing was an issue more than a decade ago in Ultima Online, and they quickly figured out the flaws in multiple house ownerships on a single account along with other issues. I'm not sure why housing is as flawed as it is in 2016 with FFXIV.

They literally only added 240 plots per housing ward type. I, personally, saw this tragedy coming.


Thank god I have a fast enough computer and amazing luck to have gotten my favorite plot a few minutes after servers opened. But even though I won the race, still feel shitty for everyone else who wanted the amazing view of plot 6 Mist.
