Will SE pull a blizzard?

Do i heard 4.0 will be announced at fanfest (oct/nov). Thats great n all but what im worried is after 3.5 will there be a 6+ month dry content gap till the expac hits. I know i could just unsub till then but that seems boring since i cant stand most other MMOs now.

They will probably do what they did with 2.5 and have it broken into 3 patches to spread it out over the course of a couple months so the gap isn't as big.

Except there was still a very large content gap from 2.5 -> 3.0 when it came to the upper levels of content, a large number of players went on hiatus during that time.

And? Its not like it was a year or 2 years. Its a full expansion they don't have to give them to us as quickly as they plan too but they are. I think people can handle a couple months without a major update at the end of a cycle.

No, it was roughly 8 months between raids, and regardless of what you think people can handle there was still a rather large population drop. It would be against SE's best interests to repeat the same thing twice.

So rushing an expansion because people can't raid? Thats a great idea! People leave and come back its not an uncommon thing. Does it really matter how many people unsub during that time period, clearly SE was doing perfectly fine during that gap its not like the servers closed or anything. They will be back for the expansion regardless. 2.55 was released 3/31/2015 and 3.0 was released in June that was not a very long wait.

3.0: June 19
There was a 5 month gap between these patches, not an 8 month gap. Add another 2.5 weeks to it if you want to exact time between World of Darkness and Gordias (Normal)

This is hardly Blizzard-levels of 12-14 months between last patch and next expansion.

FCoB was released in 2.4 which means from 2.4-3.0 it was roughly 8 months between raid content since my initial post mentioned content of the highest levels.

Seeing as most other content only lasts a few weeks at best when you're already at the cap.

Not with this kinda game, dailies get old, fast. Amusement park type games need content churned out due to the burn out many players experience. Especially with linear designed content like the dungeons and 24man raids we have. Mechanics is nice, but bee lines in each dungeon I've played so far? Lame.

Plenty of other aspects of the game to do during the downtime just because people 1. Cant be asked or 2. Don't like those aspects, thats a personal issue.
