Thread: 3.3 crafting thread

Have you people even noticed yet that carbonweave gear has same exact stats as the 170 blue gear? This means 2 star materials went from the most expensive thing, to literally trash. Not even worth your time to gather it. Its literally trash that should be thrown away. Because its a million times easier farming diadem for the materials to craft carbonweave. Two star materials have zero use now, equivalent to elemental materia. Im all for carbonweave being universal, but dam square you made all two star mats completely useless. Id be surprised if I could sell my ingots now for 10k each hq

Lets make some estimations:
Lets say 1 piece of carbonweave gear sells for 5 million hq. This gear will equip 8 classes. Compare this to the 170 blue crafted gear which equips 1 class. 5 mil divided by 8 is average value of 625k per crafter. Now lets say an average piece of gear uses 3 2-star materials. Subtract other material costs and lets call it 400k. This mean the 2 star materials would have to be about 130k each to even consider doing this. Now consider that youre spending a lot more time trying to make 8 sets of gear when you could just make (or have made) 1 set of gear to be done with all 8 classes. Consider that having the gear made by someone also requires a fairly substantial tip for making so many sets of gear.

After its all said and done, since 2 star materials have no new uses, and carbonweave is equivalent stats, 2 star materials will be worth 20-50k each.... maybe.
