Whistle, nymeias, and using good procs efficiently would help tremendously for someone with low CP.

there is really no point to use i180 accessiores tho
they got outclassed by a single CP melded i140 / i150
so limited yourself to full i180 really doesn't make any sense
That's true, and also the i170 accessories should be extremely cheap to make now. Favor items have dropped to < 2000 gil per item on my server, and we are pretty low population.
I have my blacksmith to alomost 60, the rest are 50s what should I do next for my blacksmith?
what bothers me the most about 3.3 is that being a high end crafter doesn't mean anything , you look at someone with high end raid gear and you know they worked real hard to earn it , but you see a crafter with best gear in game , it just means you had couple of million gills , there is no challenge anymore . and i wonder how long this is going to keep on going , make gear > meld > make new gear > meld > make new gear > meld .
i think what would be good is a crafting relic gear that can be upgraded over time or just using the current gear + some crafted tokens to get a higher version of it

You just described this game from 2.0 until where we're at now. It's always replacing old gear with newer, better gear.what bothers me the most about 3.3 is that being a high end crafter doesn't mean anything , you look at someone with high end raid gear and you know they worked real hard to earn it , but you see a crafter with best gear in game , it just means you had couple of million gills , there is no challenge anymore . and i wonder how long this is going to keep on going , make gear > meld > make new gear > meld > make new gear > meld .

I, for one, am happy they made the new sets the way they did. What it does is help those who were just below the top tier of crafters step up onto the platform the rest are on. This is good because it drives prices down and makes everything cheaper for everyone because there are more competitors.
It is difficult to feel sorry for people who are sitting on a billion gil because before now, there were only a handful of crafters doing the majority of the top end work.

I think there is a huge difference in giving away the stats and having a fun way to get the gear but to each their own! I think the best thing they ever did, which they haven't repeated, was the lucis tool grind. That was great b/c you actually had to know what you were doing to obtain the best MH and if you wanted them all you had to grind each one. My main issue is there is a way to make it challenging w/o breaking the will of those who work hard vs a casual crafter.I, for one, am happy they made the new sets the way they did. I can see both sides, having just reached the top tier of crafting myself. 3.3 allowed me to catch up, whereas Red Scrips proved how detrimental a time based grind can be on newer crafters. What I do think is they could revamp materia into a more rewarding system. Mayhaps by crafting certain items or doing so in some unique way would that allow you to meld extra slots. Each advanced meld increases challenge. This way, you're sort of "upgrading" your gear and materia isn't based on a horrible RNG system.what bothers me the most about 3.3 is that being a high end crafter doesn't mean anything , you look at someone with high end raid gear and you know they worked real hard to earn it , but you see a crafter with best gear in game , it just means you had couple of million gills , there is no challenge anymore . and i wonder how long this is going to keep on going , make gear > meld > make new gear > meld > make new gear > meld .
