    Crafting leve Quest needs to be changed from turn in items to npc given items.

    Im sorry but this a long time coming. Leveling for all jobs except crafting with leve's is done freely and easily. Crafting requires way more additional cost, inventory space, and time compared to gathering and battle leves.

    The current crafting level system, needs to get rid of "normal" items and adopt and system like the ixal crafting questline, where npc gives you items and has your crafting it. Normal and HQ outcomes would reward you.

    By the way, cooking leve's are so ridiculous based on the sheer number of crafting items need to cook even simple recipes.

    Don't really agree.
    Procuring items or alternatively making profit to buy said items is part of what crafting is about.
    What I would agree to is if they made the quests so the the items have to be crafted/gathered by the player.
    That would prevent people from just buying all the levequest items for turning in... though on the flip-side, this would ruin the leve-turn-in selling which is a good market for people that aren't at the top of crafting yet.
    Same with your suggestion - it would take away that venue from crafters, to sell HQ items used as leve turn-ins. Back when I was levling my crafters, this was the main thing that I made enough profit with to cover my spending on mats.
    Of course there's glamour prisms.. but those are just a huge undercutting game.

    OP: That's how leves worked in 1.0, you were handed a bundle of mats from the client and you were given XP depending on the final quality rating of each item you turned in. It was a surprisingly forgiving system in a game full of broken/unfun game mechanics...

    Feeding into leveling crafters is a lot of the DoL profits though.. stuff like this can mess with the economy and make certain players feel worthless.

    I personally do not feel people's "profits" are worth protecting by design. It's like saying we shouldn't make endgame content accessible because that cuts into run sellers profits.

    I disagree. I like how I can craft items for the XP bonus you get the first time you craft them, and then go check if there is a levequest for that item - getting even more XP for the same item.

    If anything the gathering levequests should be changed to have us gather normal items (just like it already is for fisher) instead of the "pretend" stuff we are supposed to gather now.
