Notification for IPhone App

Hey, I thought the idea of being able to handle your retainer from your phone was a brilliant idea(think I read this in and interview).
Me and my bud Quantumstumble Kashawn were sitting around shooting the FF gossip, when we thought that it would be even better if it could send a notification to your phone as well as the in-game message from your retainer(that I heard about from the dev tracker).

Hopefully people can bump this post if they like it.

Also, does anyone know where I can find the list of dev tags. I can't remember.

As good of an idea it is, they need to do way more than that with smartphone technology. Lodestone/Forums app, Inventory view, Retainer bazaar control, some kind of linkshell app, and something that displays current in-game timers and dynamic events (like the upcoming hamlet defense, if it applies) are just a few things that could be done with smartphone technology.

So what? Blizzard does it so SE must avoid it? I would argue, at least in this topic, that the existence of such an app for another MMO is grounds for the creation of a like product for FFXIV, lest they be left further behind, technologically speaking.

I don't recall saying SE shouldn't do it. I love the idea and hope they do it. I was just pointing out another one of the many Blizzard borrowings. Not that there's anything wrong with that....
