Kinda New to this game, any advice

Hey guys, i started this game about a month ago and i am really enjoying it, i am playing as a Bard and i am currently level 36, do you guys have any advice for me or is there anything i should/shouldn't be doing?

Also it takes me forever to get into a dungeon... It also pretty lonely playing alone...

Unfortunately, the queue times for dps can be pretty long. If anything I'd recommend finding a Free Company, they can provide a massive amount of support. When it comes to do/do nots I'm not the best person to ask, especially if it's Bard questions as I haven't leveled that myself. However if you want to know anything, these forums are usually pretty kind when it comes to giving advice.

Sounds like finding a Free Company would benefit you, i know all to well about long queue times and it has been the worst it's ever been.
I would also suggest levelling lancer for invigorate as a cross class if you have not already, this helps to refresh your tp when low. And while an absolute must not, Pugilist also has some very useful abilities
    Best of luck

If your world's Novice Network is anything like mine, there's likely often mentors happy to queue with you as a tank to generally make your queues instant. You can do a player search for a mentor and /tell them for an invite.

Talk to someone with a mentor crown and ask if you can be added to the Novice Network. Then, whenever you need to queue, ask for a tank or healer to join you. You'll get a faster queue and an experience bonus.

Instead of queuing for a dungeon using the dungeon finder tool, try recruiting people using the Party Finder tool instead.
Mention it's your first time and you are looking for help. You can also say you want to run multiple times. There are several benefits to this.

1.) You will probably find a group much faster. Right now people need Allagan Tomestones of Poetics and (someone correct me if I am wrong), other members in the party will get a bonus if they enter a dungeon with someone who is there for the first time.

2.) There are a lot of other people leveling other jobs who want to find a group too. If they see your recruitment in the PF (Party Finder), they will likely join.

3.) You can run the same dungeons with the same people multiple times for loot and experience.

4.) You will make friends with people on your server, instead of being paired with people from another server who you might never see again. This is a good way to join a Free Company, Linkshells, and add people to your friends list who you can quickly run dungeons with in the future.

Also, if waiting for the dungeon finder takes a long time, do something while waiting. Level gathering jobs and crafting jobs. Make your own gear to save money. Gather lots of items and sell them on the market board to make money. Even level 60 players need lot of Silver Ore, Flax, and Effervescent Water (level 30 gathering items, I believe) to do crafting.

If you want to run dungeon on dutyfinder the easiest way is to level tank > healer > dps in that order. Tanks are near instant finder, healer a bit quick and dps are long long waits. Also, as a new player you have to be really vocal to your parties about being new to a dungeon. However, you need to speed up your skills cause this games is really old already and most players have a lot of content to get though in a single game play day and won't be willing to burn 1hr on a single dungeon.

I don't believe anyone else has mentioned it yet, but don't neglect the MSQ (Main Story Quests) and other unlock quest lines. The new patch is supposed to be adding a unique icon for those quests. New players often over look the unlocks and you wind up having to back track and spend time on lower level quests that would have been beneficial had you known about them during the level range. I would also look into leveling up either botany or mining starting out, eventually you will level most of your DoL and DoH jobs up but starting out new the gathering is a failsafe way to generate income.

One last thing, I would suggest utilizing youtube as you unlock new dungeons. MrHappy amongst others have very useful guides that will explain the boss mechanics and make the runs smoother for you. Mithrie is another youtuber that has very informative guides for crafting/gathering.
