Just wondering, am I the only one bothered by the fact that both oath have the same animation ?

Different particle effects?
Not really? They have a pretty bland animation anyways.
DRK going into grit? *Bathoom* Sword pointed against the foe, lightning rumbles and the blade lights up in dark flames. It basically looks like the DRK declares "Come at me bro"
WAR using Defiance/Deliverance? Explodes with beastly fury and red energy starts swirling about when Wrath stacks up. Fits their theme of tapping their Inner Beast for power, an angry storm contained within a mind of steel.
PLD should have some cool effect too, like Sword Oath being an animation where you raise your blade heavensward and consecrate it, wreathing it in light/fire/coolstuff...Something with a theme of the holy knight recieving devine power from the heavens....
...and Shield Oath puts your shield forward in a cool pose, forming a temporarily visible transparent barrier with glyphs and shockwaves rippling from the shield. Something that says "Here and no further, I stand here and you shall not pass"... Would look really cool if done while moving forward.
Just my suggestions ^__^

As long as it's short, I don't care what the animations are. I don't want my oaths to animation lock me for more than half a second.

I think the animations are both the same because both of them are oaths. The Knight clasps his hand together, points his sword into the air, and vows to protect his comrades. It's a more passive, defensive action to better fit the Tank with a more defensive aesthetic. It fits the Paladin just as the more aggressive animations for the WAR and DRK stances fit them.
Easy fix that would require a small animation tweak
Sword Oath (same animation)
Shield Oath: Instead of the sword pointing up, the sword is now pointing down (covered by the shield) and the particle effects highlight the shield more once it's activated. Also a new sound effect could help too.
Aside from the difference in particle and sound effects, I always found it weird that Pld had a copy and pasted animation for their oath change. This is going to sound REALLY nit-picky, but the thing that bugged me most about it is the sword. Swap to Sword Oath? The Pld takes his stance and his sword glows red hot for a second. Dps increases. Pld swaps to Shield Oath? Same thing happens, only dps takes a nose dive ... Just doesn't seem to make sense to my fantastical little brain.
From a more technical standpoint, you'd think they'd have wanted it to be more obvious for the sake of other party members healers. It's pretty obvious when a War or Drk is stance dancing, so the healer should be prepared for modulating Hp pool/damage intakes. Other than the particle effect having a different colour, Pld's stance dance looks exactly the same, so it's possible to miss the stance dance by animation alone. Again, kind of nit-picky, but it's just one of those things that made me wonder why SE did it. My running theory is that they were just being super lazy with the Pld job. They were lazy with pretty much every other thing they did with this job, so why not the animations as well?
I feel like the Divine Veil Animation should've been used for Shield Oath, and Sword Oath being the same but with the sword risen heavensward and then performing a little trick with the shield.
Maybe also add some shining floating emblem over them showing a Shield/Sword?
The Oath animations do look kinda boring, I agree.
