Retainer item sorting?

So it seems too difficult to do. Instead, is it possible for us to designate a different default sorting method for each retainer?

Currently using the available options, it's possible to sort gear items according to level and get more or less what I want. But that will make it apply to all other retainers, and absolutely mess up the order for materials. For example for ores, the different types of ores are all scattered about with no apparent order.

I'd like to designate that the retainer holding weapons will sort according to level, while other retainers (and my inventory) will use the default sort.

Is it possible to sort gear items at the retainer this way?

• "Sets" of the same level for the same class always together.
• "Sets" are sorted in ascending/descending order of level required to wear them.
• Within the same required level, "sets" are sorted in ascending/descending item level.

For example, say I have the following "sets", i.e. head+chest+hands+waist+legs+feet+accessories if applicable: Cavalry, Battlemage, Crimson, Demon's Casting, Demon's Tank, Augmented Ironworks Casting, Ark Casting. Then the retainer sorts these pieces in this order (suppose descending order):

1. Ark Casting gear, ilv 200
2. Augmented Ironworks Casting, ilv 130
3. Demon's Tank, ilv 120
4. Demon's Casting, ilv 120
5. Crimson, ilv 80
6. Cavalry, ilv 34
7. Battlemage, ilv 34

At the same ilv, VIT (tank) sets go before STR, then DEX > INT > MND. Within the same set, head pieces always go first, then chest > hands > etc.

I collect quite a few sets for glamour and for leveling all my jobs. I'd really love to be able to sort my retainer properly.

The problem with sorting by stat points is that it cannot differentiate between classes. For example the SMN AF pieces have the same VIT and INT as the BLM AF pieces.

Is there no way to sort the retainers properly without doing everything manually?
