Building onto this post, GMS can review any and all chat logs. So it is in no way difficult for them to figure out if you are truthful/lying.Pretty sure buying houses for the sole purpose of throwing them out back to resell for a profit is against the tos. All people need to do is be proactive about it. Don't give in to abuse by these people. After the houses are implemented and you see a bunch of pfs up offering to sell plots, report them. That's what it's for. Take pics of their pfs for prof and time stamp the moment you see this happening.
By enabling this behavior, they will keep eating away at the plots if no one stands up. But by means is this no witch hunt. Don't spread gossip about so and so committing these acts. Let the gms do their job after you report and move on.

Coming from one of the quieter servers, where there's always been random plots available for purchase, I find this entire ordeal fascinating.

I agree. Prices are too low to support the demand and the amount supplied. This is why we have a shortage. Prices need to be made higher. Much higher.

The houses are a set price and as you're likely aware, they're realising more on Tuesday. You have as much of a chance of getting one of those houses as everyone else. If they all sell out before you get one though, then you can always consider moving to a less populated world that has houses available (as someone further up pointed out).

Er I already have a house... I quoted what I was replying to which has nothing to do with me wanting a house. The houses are a set price and as you're likely aware, they're realising more on Tuesday. Yeah and pay what....15 bucks just because SE won't do thing properly....I'm starting to think it's done on purpose to bosst world transfert and money coming from it....
Well it may happen one day, when they stop using the FF14 money to work on other FF...
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

The whole idea of housing as a limited resource is, in my opinion, outrageous. It is as if only the first 10% of a server's accounts may get access to the Savage raids, the rest will never be able to even enter the place until they decide to allow it.
That's why even with the low prices, I refuse to participate in the housing content. But I've heard rumors that 3.4 brings apartment-like housing which is instanced and has infinite supply. That I am happy with and will participate in.
