Now that's a cool idea. Class specific mounts

cool idea? it exists almost in wow and i think its kinda "kitchy" ... mounts in Final Fantasy should be only chocobos and not for example panda bear ;o

Yes, actually, I've read just about everything that Yoshi has had to say because I eat it up like candy. Can you please provide any kind of quote that would make it impossible for the 12 to be primals? I'm not saying it absolutely is the case, just saying it could be.

I'm not sure about a Robot race or how it would fit lore wise, since machinery like Magitek and the like are primarily Garlean, but it would make sense for Ramuh actually -- Lore wise throughout FFs that actually fleshed out summon stories, he was always more of a neutral entity (being a hermit and all) so a race or even singular person could easily create a pact with him.

Well I say it's nice lore wise cuz I'm actually am saying it would be in the area of garlean country. Maybe maybe not, but I'd like some magic robot enemies sprinkled in

    EDIT:

Also I base this on FFXI kinda. Ramuh was the leader of a prosperous technological city. So yeah I'd say it makes sense for him to be some kind of magical robot making hermit that is god in the eyes of his creations.

The god Rhalgr seems very Ramuh-like already. And given all the pony sigs, I can't help but sense some serious meme kindling with an Ixion primal.

I for one thinks Sylph's primal are Ramuh based on their symbol, and since they are rather friendly to everyone, i feel it's ok lore-wise to worship a bearded hermit that lives inside a forest.

Lightning based summons in order of my preference.

    1. Adrammelech - awesome, but unlikely since no other Ivalice summons exist in the game (yet)
    2. Quezacotl - the stylish Ramuh replacement in FFVIII
    3. Ixion - FFX, FFXI
    4. Ramuh - The classic thunder summon who is the most likely to be in the game.. and is my least favorite of the classic summons.

In my ever so honest opinion this would fit the best:

Jiraiya (児雷也 - literally "Young Thunder"), the title character of the Japanese folktale Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari (児雷也豪傑物語, "The Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya"), is a ninja who uses shapeshifting magic to morph into a gigantic toad.
That's right. A GIGANTIC TOAD THUNDER PRIMAL.

    Where is your God now?

Ah, but alas. No finel ftnsy feelingz if its not ramuh.
