Additional Retainer?

I went on the mog station and signed up for an additional Retainer. I have the 2 free ones and 1 additional Retainer. It says signed up for one but when I goto hire him it says there is a 3 Retainer cap?

Is 3 the most you can have?

No, three is the most that you can have because you're only paying for one extra one in addition to the two free ones that the game gives you. The most you can have is 8 total (two from the game, six from the shop) and the game is telling you three because that's all your account is authorized for.

No, the limit is much higher (I'm not sure but I think it's 6 or 8).
Did you exit the game? If you simply logged out to visit the Mogstore and then logged in again, the purchase won't register. You need to exit completely.
