Lets see.. in FF11 before hitting 75 you had NOTHING to do. 75 was when the game actually started, so i rather them add in tons of 50 content then a bunch of crap inbetween. times have changed. Less people want to spend forever grinding then they did back in the day. look at 11 now, quick grind up but tons to do once you are 75-95

I agree. I think the low to mid range level curve got so dumbed down that it is now WAY too easy. Please steepen it. I want hitting level cap to feel like an accomplishment. And I don't want this to become another MMO where 'life begins at endgame'. It should be about the journey.

But as others have said, we also need more content to enjoy that journey. Not just one raid dungeon, a handful of sidequests and grinding on leves.

I don't think the XP curve needs to be adjusted for one simple fact, Discpiples of the Land and Hand have the same XP curve, and "grinding" them is insanely time consuming. If anything, the devs should tone down battle xp, but I think they're planning for the future caps more than anything, which is probably going to have some insane TNLs.

I agree lvling is a little fast but when i think about it, classes are for general/casual/solo play, i dont really expect a whole lot of dedication required. Now if job quests (which are essentially how jobs will level up) are easy then ill be upset.

The length of a player's level should be based upon the amount of content available to the character's level range so they have the opportunity to experience content and then move on.

I do think the sp needed for the later levels should be increased by a bit, especially when the level cap is raised, but as for overall.. Maybe only a slight tweak; it is pretty fast, and especially the people who have been around since earlier in the games life feel how ridiculously fast it feels now compared to back when.

Again, I'm not saying that I want it back to the old ways, but the faster it goes up, the less pride you feel for actually having higher level jobs.

No. Merciful Twelve, no. I'm -very- happy with the XP curve the way it is. Admittedly I'm the 'ideal case' of "doesn't actually get to XP that often, so I have time / alternate jobs that I wind up doing quests on at the appropriate level", and I love it. I also love knowing I could grind something to 50 super quickly if I wanted, or 30 for an ability, or... whatever. I love knowing that leveling pace actually -doesn't- suddenly slap you in the face once you hit 30 like this is some kind of Korean grindfest. AoE spamming mobs to death, while I've actually had a lot of fun in a perma with friends, is not and never will be content, and if I want to do Toto-Rak on a 'level appropriate' class I can grind CNJ a bit or something.

If you think leveling is too fast, then, uh, slow down! Nobody's forcing you to get XP as fast as humanly possible. Seriously, I completely fail to understand why people seriously say "XP curves need to be steeper". I /like/ XPing and I still prefer shallower XP curves. "Back in my day we walked uphill to school both ways in the snow and levels actually meant something" is not a valid argument. Sorry.

Quite honestly, I have no clue how you could level from 1 to 50 in less than a week. Unless you either powerleveled there or simply skipped your real life for that whole week, in both case, the problem is not the leveling curve, it's you.

LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
