Guild Tasks Rewards

I came back to the game between 1.18 and 1.19 and started doing Guild Tasks. For the first few weeks, I got the 100 shards bonus about 80-90% of the time and often got a gil bonus as well. Then it just stopped. I flat out never get 100 shards. I've tried dozens of times for a few weeks before I gave up.

The last few days I thought I would give it another shot, doing just about every guild's task I can each day. Nothing.

Anyone have any ideas on what factors go into deciding what reward will be given?

Meh, I guess no one has any thoughts on this. Seemed to be with the people I tried asking in-game as well.

My one theory is that the rewards are tied to your respective DoH/DoL level. If that's the case it would be pretty lame, as the guild tasks don't go over level 10.

Maybe it's an initial first-second week bonus? Maybe the bonus wears off after so many tasks? I really like the Guild Tasks option - they're like mini-quests you can do on top of the "real" guild leves. Just something fun to do on the side.

It does probably have to do with the level of either the class associated with that guild or the level of your current class. I wish they'd expand them to higher levels, although we get something similar with Grand Company Provisions.
