Cannot register expansion - error code i2501

Hi there,

I have been trying to get re-activated and setup to play FF14 again now for several days, and have had numerous issues. Most have been resolved and I can play the game.

Unfortunately, now I am trying to register the expansion - when I enter my registration code I get an error saying "you cannot do that" and code i2501.

Right now my sub is removed, but I do have 80+ days of game time available - I have tried to re-add a sub as well and I receive the same error.

Of course all forms of support are not available on weekends.. which kind of ruins my ability to try out the expansion this weekend. Does anyone have any idea why I am getting this error, or how to fix it?

I'm experiencing the same error too. I was unable to make payments through all channels (time card, crysta, credit/debit card, and paypal). I used to have problems with the debit card payment until I stopped playing before HW. I started playing again once I was able to purchase crysta last January. It was fine up until a couple of days ago when I tried buying crysta and I got error i2501. I tried all methods and even bought a 60 day time card and i still got the same error. Sad part is there are about two internet posts about it with no solutions.

I reported it via chat last friday, no update yet. Calling the support number is too expensive for me and it's also the weekend so... i wanted to play soooo bad...
