Ohh right! I kinda forgot the old raids was nearby the aetherytes. Makes more sense now. And I agree with you, it is true. That isn't the problem in my raid group, everyone is present and ready, but one person has forgotten that they need to meet in the zone (as it is the only content that requires this), with coil it was less of a problem as all 3 entrances were next to aetherytes, but alexander requires a few minutes of travel time meaning unnecessary waiting around, meaning if someone forgets its time lost on a simple mistake (and for what gain?).
I like the raid finder change.
I am actually not specifically commenting to anyone at all. More so to everyone, i guess. Im just appalled at how quick people are to call others lazy the moment a new feature is introduced. Sure their might be some people who pretend to fight and hide under the boss the whole fight spamming one skill, but that's not the only type of person that would find the Raid Finder useful and all of the people in this thread know it. Yet I keep seeing how everyone who favors meeting in the over-world and thinks the rest of the community should too. It doesnt matter what games used to be like, I also dont care if half the community is too lazy to learn rotations.(not trying to be a jerk) These things are not really relevant and they do not make the Raid Finder more or less useful. That is actually a community problem. Some people have more free time than others. Some people also do not care at all for open world content. Using laziness as the main topic of the discussion like it is the only concern is just odd. Why not make a thread about lazy people abusing all features rather than complain about the individual features? The raid finder is optional and i dont see how it is in any way a bad thing to allow the player to decide how to play. Freedom is a beautiful thing.

These people r just mad that savage will now be accesible to those who cant commit to statics 4 various reason, and those who dont meet their arbitrary requirments to join their static cliques. They r losing their special snow flake status and it infuriates them. To call people who use raid finder "lazy", is lazy trolling at its best. Waiting in pf 4 hours trying to pug savage and having no one join, thats the real "community" thats these types preach about so much.
Raid finder should have been implemented DAY 1. This way, people can at least make the attempt instead being denied becuz muh "no bonus" bs that permeates so much of these cliques. This harkons back to the coil days when i had decent t12 exp but no one would dare let me join their t12 pts cuz "muh no bonus" that everyone preached about. As soon as t12 was put on the df, Bam had my clear on my first run. Progression is omnipresent, the positves absolutely trump the "negatives", if u can even call them that.
just remembered back in 1.0, teleporting costed anima which didn't regenerate at a very high rate. If you used all your anima, you were forced to travel on foot or find someone to teleport you lol.
I would imagine the bigger issue is that raiding is so dead that the developers feel the need to try and pool together entire datacenters with a raid finder. So that people might have a chance at actually getting inside the hard raids. Alexander normal is a huge reason why. Once they neuter the relic quest in the next expansion, there won't be that much to do after you finish the story quests. It was fun while it lasted i guess.
