Going to do what I can to make this thread positive and not a B&M fest. Changes are coming within the next few patches, but one thing I would like to suggest to the devs is a very simple reworking of sand recipes. As it is now it truly looks like someone stuck post-its numbering 1-50 on a wall, had another dev call out a fish title and then another dev threw a dart while blindfolded to see what rank the recipe would be.
When CUL changes come please remember to completely overhaul sand recipes. If you follow a simple guideline it won't take long at all.
Just pull up whatever resource/charts to have listing the rank of all those Fish to Crystal recipes you gave to alchemists many moons ago. The rank on those fish progress well from the early to the high ranks, making it so alchemists can rank up in a fairly simple manner. whereas Culinarians are running around, screaming and tearing their hair out because the mini crown just won't balance properly on a crown cake, unless they go through 35 seasons worth of training as a goldsmith.
Just implement the same recipes that alch has for CUL, instead of Crystal/Shards we get River/Sea Sand. Probably saves you a ton of time doing that and adds a bit of consistency with fish ranks. Also, please for the love of all that is holy, more than synth even if I have to use 4 fish for 4 sand, grinding out 6 fish to make one sand, so that I can grind those 6 fish into 1 fine sand so I can use that find sand for crystal break is just to tedious. Give CUL/ALC and Goldsmiths new recipes for this combo of synths please.
Also need more fish recipes overall that make food. It was definitely a sad day to see Alchemists get a shard synth months back for every fish in game, when we got only a handful of new recipes, most of them being 6+ ingredients.
Also as we are speaking of food I would like to see an increase in dishes that can be made from multiple fish. No reason a fish cake needs to be made only from one fish. I also don't expect 50 variations of baked <insert fish here> but adding maybe a couple of each of these recipes per tier would be nice.
Finally... Stack sizes. 99 please, it makes no sense that I can carry a stack of 99 logs but I can't carry a stack of 99 acorn cookies, they are smaller. No I don't expect or demand the game go into realism mode on everything, because then all the other 99 stacks are gone and t hat is just tedious. I just want some fairness across the board with stack sizes, I have a feeling even post CUL changes we are still going to be utilizing the largest overall amount of ingredients.
I assume I don't really have to go into detail on abolishing the over-complication of the food system in regards to having certain stats, mainly because we no longer of control over our base stats. As such I will just assume all will be right in that department come time for these changes.
Please throw us a bone, we have waited awhile. Some of us patiently, some of us very impatiently (Stop looking at me like that!). But I think if you make some of the above changes you will send forth a burst of rainbows into the otherwise dark basements of the Culinarian's soul.
