When you purchase a tool from lowes or home depot are you not entitled the guaranty that it will be reliable and function properly? The fact of the matter is I put my hard earned money in to a game and feel entitled to what the product guaranties not a half finish product.

I digress I already said I'm staying for the long haul and I never said those items have to be game changing or ridiculous I would be happy with a title or something just so that people know we were the few who stuck by when no one else would because we believed in the work of the dev team.

Also the content they are creating for v2.0 I can argue should have been in the game at release not 2 or 3 years after the fact.
Well when you twist and distort the situation beyond all recognition as you have... I can see how you'd see it that way.

However, your version of the situation isn't reality.

First... It's not an "early subscription". In fact, subscriptions have been delayed. We weren't charged anything for the past 13 months since the game's launch, remember?

Next, it was announced almost a year ago that SE would start subscriptions when they met 2 criteria:
1) They had a clear and attainable roadmap for the game to go forward with. With the creation and announcement of the 2.0 roadmap, they have accomplished this.
2) The game had been developed and restored to a point where they felt it would be worthy as a standard launch title. With a couple key features Yoshi has pointed out (proper market/AH system and proper party-finding/search system), among other additions, that time will be the release of 1.20.

Looking at all the revisions made to the game, all the content in the game now (leves, storyline missions, side-quests, class quests, crafting, behest, grand companies, HNMs, NMs, multiple classes to level etc. etc.).. there is certainly quite a lot of content for a brand-new player just starting out to do.

Yoshi and SE have done exactly what they said they were going to do. They set the time-table and the requirements, and they stuck to them.

Now the ball's in our court.

If folks feel it's not worth a sub fee yet, then fine... they have the option to hold off and not pay anything 'til they feel it is. Just as would be the case with any other MMO.

You mention paying $75 for the game. So did I, twice. So did many people. We've all gotten over a year to play the game sub-free, add up the sub fees for about 5 months and you've got your $75's worth. If you chose not to play for all that time, that's not SE's problem. To come back now and claim "I didn't get my money's worth!" after 13+ months to play to your heart's content rings a bit hollow.

You run the same risk of not liking the game when you buy any title... Collector's Edition or otherwise. It doesn't entitle you to dictate to SE when they are allowed to charge you a sub. It entitles you to make the same decision everyone else who's bought the game has to make... to pay and continue playing, or to cancel and come back at a later date.

Beyond that.. your "Reality TV" suggestion is ridiculous. Sure, let's have a live feed into SE's offices, looking over their shoulders so competitors can get insight into what they're doing and lift some ideas for themselves.

Yeah... You clearly thought that idea through. -roll eyes-
