And maintaining your very biased view of the game, insulting others who don't agree with you, calling out on others people's opinions while yours remains untouchable, is what I call forcing your opinion on others, while disrespecting everyone else's. And as you say, no one has to like it, who cares. However, it seems that you care about every post that does not support you view so much that you just have the urge to insult them. But you redeem yourself with some nuggets of opinions that occasionally makes it through, for example, your last sentence. If you didn't carry yourself around with your harsh tongue, and instead stated what you wanted directly and simple, as the last sentence did, no one can fault you. But it's your attitude and lack of respect for others opinions that has people always going against you. Correct that, and maybe people will be more accepting of you.

I propose something similar but within the developer’s office, we would like to watch you all work on v2.0 almost like we watch sports on television or a reality TV show without the commentary or “drama” just work like you have been day by day and forget the camera’s are there. Set up live 24/7 webcam feeds behind key members of the developing team including over Yoshi-p’s desk and all meetings with adequate audio and video. We want to see the inner workings and provide our own play by plays and speculation. Also post on a blog all concept art and someone who will show us video footage of current in house builds and shows us what’s been changed and what bugs are there and where progress is on v2.0.

We can’t just rely on a promise from Square Enix anymore we are investing our money in to this project so like the concerned investor we want to see what’s going on.

The OP's suggestions are decent, but I don't think they go far enough.

Therefore, I have put forth some additional demands that I feel my $12 entitles me to (beyond playing the game):

• Manditory GPS trackers on Yoshi-P and each team member so we know where they are at all times and can gauge their sleep/work/freetime ratio.
• Personal phone numbers and e-mail addresses of each and every FFXIV dev member so that we can reach them at home and demand status updates on 2.0.
• VPN access to all the dev computers so that we can make changes to things we aren't happy with.
• Access to all SQEX employee vacation/personal time off records, so that we can approve any time away from the project.
• Access to all SQEX employee medical records just in case they try to take a sick day - We need to be able to verify that they are telling the truth.
• A large monitor wall where we can post images of ourselves so that when the workers enter the building, they can bow to us and sing a song in our praises.
• Motivational posters like this one in every cubical, and on every desktop wallpaper.

I think part of the reason for the hostile reaction to the thread (despite the huge invasion of corporate and personal privacy that the suggestion entails) is the topic.

Compensation for the early sub fee.

The sub fee is not early. It's just that the game is not free anymore. They're no longer giving away the game for free, but rather than shutting down the servers, they're offering us a chance to pay to keep playing.

If they had instead announced a plan shut down the servers entirely and told us to come back for 2.0, I know some of us would be on the forums asking for a chance to pay to keep them up. That's who the target audience of 1.20 is. For that audience, the subscriptions are not early. They are not premature. Calling them such is part of the argument for those who want to keep playing for free. Whether you're paying or or not, your post is going to attract flak for using that rhetoric.

i find it sad, because you are given an option to either;

A) Pay when the times come, because at that time (after 1.20 patch), Yoshi say is the time when the game is at a level that can be charge. (Patch 1.20 is the determine patch to see the game is worth to play or not)

B) Pay whenever you want, be it on 1.21, 1.22 or at 1.23, as you see fit.

C) You can opt to wait for 2.0.

The thing is, people want more, and giving more to it is not to say a bad idea, is the worse idea actually, giving the mentality of the people, giving more will end result of wanting more. MMORPG is not just a game, is a business, and to create such a content without any income and not wanting to add cash shop, is ridiculously impossible to survive.

To say is money grabbing demon is unfair and certainly idiot who thinks money growing out from tree or selfish people. The game was not worth to pay from launch, they given us compensation of freeplay for 1 year, keeping our data, and still play on their service without being charge for a single cent for a year when they could charge us for like $1 or $2 for just playing on the server ya know, but because of the bad launch, they give us free 2 play until the game is worth to be played.

Let's not forget that they raked in about $40 million dollars from selling game copies, so it's not like this team has never made any money off FFXIV. Also a certain percentage of players bought crysta in advance.

If you're making threads like this OP, and claiming that the game is "unfinished" I sincerely hope you have another character besides the one in your profile and you've actually experienced, at least a little bit, everything the game has to offer. Otherwise I'm not really sure how you can back up your claim, besides conforming to what some other people are saying and acting like you actually developed your own opinion based purely on that.

A more serious note of people is that they sure love to stated what they say are right and other people are wrong.

Like in this situation about the game being unfinish or what not, not worthy to reinstated the subscription bill, people need to know that is by right of everyone choice to either pay or not pay. People should not offend one another because their choice is in conflict with yours and people should not even replied back because it will just cause a commotion and that is what they wanted, and that is what we call a flame bait.

People feel like they shouldn't have to pay for an unfinished game that's all there is to it. SE on the other hand doesn't seem to have raised their standards at all if this is the game they deem good enough to charge for. I'll vote with my wallet and hope the future updates will be a lot bigger than the small stat-tweaks so far.

@ OP, dude you are nuts. Good concept that paying full price for an unfinished project leaves something to be desired but then you went all Ann Coulter on us. Surveillance? That's crossing the line, obviously, not to mention don't you think there are things that happen in their office that they don't want to show their competitors? And also spoilers? Put your brain to better use and think up another way to address the dilemma.
