I can't help but shake my head in disgust at how so many people on these forums turn to personal attacks rather than simply posting disagreement with someone's idea.
I wasn't quite sure what to think of the OP, but after this post it's quite obvious to me that you were just looking at things in a way most people can't understand. I understand that you just thought it would be neat to see behind-the-scenes things.
I don't believe you to be selfish, greedy, ignorant, immature, or any of the other harsh words people have thrown at you. Some things said were enough to make a sensitive person break down in tears. There's no reason to be attacked like that for suggesting an idea. Whether it be realistic or not.

I hope that all these bad apples rolling around on these forums haven't spoiled the forums for you, though I will say they are plentiful. :\ I'm sorry for your bad experience here. I hope that in the future people think before they type.

Not to sound like an asshole, but the idea offended me. If it were translated and forwarded to the devs, I'm sure they would be offended, too. Hell, I bet a handful of devs actually did read the OP and were probably annoyed by it. The average person has no wish to be broadcasted.

We are getting story content unique to us playing pre version 2,0 which is all i realy want from SE. More story content.

I'm completely against the whole idea of setting up cameras to watch them work. Now what'd be nice of course is more frequent updates on plans, maybe some concept art here and there, and definitely something like the Vana'diel Winds they had going on back then. I still don't however feel any of this is owed to us. But personally? I'd settle for more in-game lore being shown to us. And definitely more info on the races to come (and possible races they may add in the future.) when 2.0 is released. Look at it this way really, the more time they spend communicating with us via reports, camera feeds, and all this other stuff you're asking for, that's less time they're spending on getting 2.0 ready.

Which would you prefer, getting FFXIV 2.0 on-time (or sooner) or later than what's scheduled? I think the answer would be obvious here.

EDIT: I forgot to add that in my book, they've pretty much won my trust back. People seem to forget that the Square Enix we have now, and the one from a year ago are far different. The company has made leaps and bounds beyond anything they'd normally do. They've issued an apology for their folly on the game's release, they're communicating with us far more than they have in the last 8 or so years I can recall since I first started playing FFXI originally. One year ago if you asked the devs to consider this feature or that, they'd give you a generic "we'll think about it" response.

Now, come November 3rd we'll see yet another LIVE broadcast from the producer himself, Yoshi-P. During this, he'll be looking at answering questions ON THE SPOT as they're asked. Try to get this type of customer service from the Square Enix a year ago. If you can't look at all the drastic changes they've made over the past year since everything happened then I don't know what else will convince you that they're worth putting trust in again. That's my two cents on the subject.

It doesn't matter if the game is finished or not, the question that ppl have to do @him/herself is "Am I getting enough fun for this?". If u get fun u'll stay, if not u'll stop playing.

Any online game will be never "finished", cause the dev team will always make new things to keep players. For me FFXI was "finished", played a lot of time, but I stopped playing when it becomes bored for me.

Btw, maybe the OP idea wasn't a good one (I'm against the video thing) but at least she got an idea, and no for think that isnt good i'll say that is garbage. Maybe the item reward will be better, something like Aion does, a reward for ppl but NO obligation of SE, but rather a gift for thank players or something.
