New Gold Saucer games

So the event has me thinking on new games I would love to see in the GS.

Pachinko - Who doesn't love a spin on a pachinko game? I know I do. They are iconic in japan and plenty fun besides. Seeing one in the GS would be brilliant! The balls can be bombs or moogle poms the possibility are endless.

Slot machines - Iconic in western casinos a slot machine or 'one armed bandit' could be really cool. Obviously GS would be fairer than their RL counterparts but it would add an interesting luck based game to play. Match three Choco's to win the jackpot!

Tower Defense - Perhaps not suitable for the GS but I really love TD games as a time waster and as hooked as I already am on FFXIV seeing a TD game to waste time on would make it even more perfect of a game.

Naturally as with everything the games would be flawlessly themed to fit into Eorzea and I think would add a lot of interest and even more play-ability to one of my already favorite places

To be honest, I'm surprised these aren't in the GS already, but I guess they are pretty standard as far as chance machines go. I'm down for these for sure with various betting options to up the stakes for multiple rows and ways to win.

Yes definately can you imagine matching a row of moogles to win it big? Or perhaps Sabotender himself is the jackpot. The most obvious issue is balancing payouts but i am sure the team working on it would get it right since everything else is so spot on IMO.

I personally want to see something like G-Bike from FF7 implemented, without the stupid camera angles

In FF7 the G-bike or Condor was ways to repeat parts of the story, we have duty finder for that, because of this I don't think story related content will end up in the gold saucer. It also would not make a lot of sense to add mini games from story bits that are from other FF games, but I think new things could be added. The real problem is players ignoring content in the gold saucer, I cannot find anybody to play minion battles or triple triad with... why are SE going to add new gold saucer content when people ignore the current content? I would like a fishing game in the gold saucer that is different to the fishing gatherer class.. a fishing game a bit similar to ocarina of time where you can see the fish and get MGP for big fish.. rare fish and tournament fishing. Some of them would make nice furnishings too. Imagine catching a huge rare fish and being able to put it on the wall on your house.

Would be more inclined to do these things if the few didn't ruin it for the majority. I was hyped about TT, and it was fun at first, up until people learned how to cheat tournaments. Same for Verminion, once people learned how to cheat the system, I lost all my want to play these games... I do them for the challenge log and usually stop, occasionally collecting cards.. or minions...

I'm always down for triple triad but I have same problem with you can't find anyone to play with. I love collecting these cards. Also love your idea about mini games based on FF stories, it could work because iirc aren't other FF character featured as minions refereed to as fairy tale character?

As for me, I'd love snowboarding, some sort of slot machine and more mini games like the Mt Corel one.
