Am I the only one that feels like the Aspected Helios buff for AST further cements the fact that SE will never really be able to achieve decent AST balancing? It's like they don't even know why SCH is "too good", and why AST can only reasonably supplement the WHM spot in a raid.

On a different note, excited for Aquapolis randomly. I like treasure hunts and map-related content.

I'm gonna regret saying this but WAR is about 100 damage per second over Paladin & about 80 over Dark Knight, potency sounds nice on paper but in practice WAR stomps both Tanks....unless you mean tank stance, then they're all really close in damage(even Paladin)

Yeah, that was just a potency comparison because Berserk and Fell Cleave together is crazy damage (also why I didn't mention Berserk in the post). But without Berserk, WAR DPS is, well, nothing to write home about (since its just potency + Maim +/- Deliverance/Defiance, whereas DRK is always potency + Darkside - Grit + Dark Arts effects).

And really, 100 DPS difference isn't anywhere near OP at the DPS levels we're at now (*looks at the current BRD and MCH, and the "balance" between the two* I'm really hope the changes bring them closer, but I do think they need something else done). The tanks are fairly balanced right now, especially when they're actually tanking, as you said.
Sometimes I feel like people only see the big numbers of Fell Cleave and ignore everything else, or aren't as good at their job as they think they are and need something to blame. Was going to play around with some SSS with the same gear (weapons from Seph EX, since I only have one 230 tank weapon right now) for PLD DRK and WAR, but Adamantoise died

Well, the hat looks like Irvine's, but that's about it. The rest of that outfit doesn't remind me of him at all.

Hmm, methinks Square-Enix don't understand the meaning of the word 'increased', wouldn't 'adjusted' have been a more accurate term?

I shouldn't be suprised, but I can't help but be disappointed. Whenever Squeenix releases a new dungeon, the older ones suffer poorly. I don't understand why they keep reducing the tomes awarded by old content. If they want newer content to be the shiny new thing, all they have to do is increase the tome awards on the newer content. Two years on and we're still seeing the same recycled methodology for updates. Instead of building on existing content, every update tries to wipe the slate clean with a brand new set of everything.

Who knows, maybe Aquapolis will help tip the balance, but I have a feeling that too will be another flash in the pan content which is quickly buried under the next best thing in coming updates.

The MCH one makes me think of McCree
