I don't agree, you're in the AoE when it explodes = dmg, you're not in the AoE when it explodes = no dmg.

She's really far away when it explodes.

It looks as if it records your position when it pops under your feet instead of when it explodes

About networking issue, tracert results from : Japan 16ms, USA ~200ms, Europe 350ms.
For a FPS it's bad but for a MMORPG it should be more than enough.

She's really far away when the damage animation and numbers appears on her character. Doesn't mean the eruption didn't go off before this.

This is what I was trying to say before, he uses a skill and there is a delay in the time from him using it, until you actually see the physical manifestation of the eruption / plumes. There is a timer for how long before they are going to explode, which is probably in the ball park of 3 seconds. You have to be ready to move instantly when it appears or you will get hit. Again, another animation delay from when the server knows the spell went off, to when you actually see it explode on your screen.

I've been outside several explosions and known that I was going to bite one because of the extra .5-1second it took me to get out. Watch that video again, it starts with the eruption already on the ground. By the 2 second part she is just on the outside edge of the animation. So... from the time the eruption was put down till the time she was out of it was probably 2.5-3 seconds.

I can't tell if it's fraps having low FPS or if this is the person in-game (if it's their actual ingame being this choppy, then that video doesn't surprise me at all).

I'm not trying to discredit anyone's experience in-game. I've witnessed some of this myself but some people make it sound like the fight is just impossible. I found that I only experience this maybe 1/10 times.
