heres my 3 pennies and a nickle... Plevel only exists b/c of 2 things, ignorance and bad coding. this is that whole wow mentality being transfered over subliminally through the internet into every MMO out there. 12 million idiots play wow and as a result, blizzard has made every other mmo have to cater that "i want my crap now or i quit!" mentality. so dont just blame 1 or 2 players and dont blame SE. you need to blame american society and blizzard and SE. actually come to think of it.. mostly just american society

Sorry buddy but Power leveling predates WoW quite a bit. Do people even power level in WoW? I thought they just did mindless quests for 30,000 XP each or something ridiculous and leveled to 80 (or whatever the cap is) solo in a matter of days.

You know what games people power leveled in? Everquest, FFXI, DAoC, and Ultima. If your experience with MMO's began with WoW that's fine, but this has nothing to do with Blizzard. This has to do some people being willing to help out others to take a short cut through the grind. Get off your high horse, and just avoid it if you don't want to take part in it (because it offends your high morals).

You shouldn't be so quick to generalize people, I would bet many people being power leveled have more experience in less casual MMO's than you do. They are just doing it to get through a tough patch of levels where they have had a difficult time getting good groups, or to get a skill they need quickly on a class they don't plan to play as their main anyways. I'm sorry I see nothing wrong with this, if they are bad players as a result what is the difference than if they soloed or did guildleves and were bad players as a result of that.

So instead of fixing this issue of forcing players to level classes they have no interest in just for a skill to make thier main viable, support powerleveling to encourage this system?

Yes.

Options does not mean support. It means options. If you do not want to get PL but the rest of the party does its your option to leave or stay. Dont complain just leave. There are 8 people in that party and most of them want a PL and if you dont you deal with getting fast xp or you leave.
