Right. At least with how XI worked, you still had to do something in the party to earn the exp.

Not really American society per-se... but to be precise, there's two specific generations in America that should be held accountable for the "I want everything now" mentality: the baby boomers and Generation Y (I don't even think Generation X was this bad). American society once-upon-a-time was at least about working hard and intelligently, anyways.
