As a leveling crafter, I sell my lowbie goods and make a wonderful profit. I see many who do the same on our server.Maybe for those who can't find anything it is possibly a low population of crafters leveling up?

This^, but like I said on page two i'd not power level a n00b off the bat, i'd wait till he/she got used to the game, with it's mechanics.I don't see the pride in taking 2 hours of killing mobs to get from 25 to 26, to be honest it seems rather stupid to be proud of that. Another thing is you don't learn to play your jobs by soloing or partying, you can't just go and do raids cause you manually leveled to 50 with no higher level assistance, you still have to learn the ins and outs of whatever raid you are doing. I do agree it is kinda lame to just go from 1-50 in three days but hey, better to have that job at 50 then to not have it.
Overall I just don't understand the mindset of "power level is evil", all I see is a shortcut to the fun stuff.
There's hardly any depth to combat that you are going to learn anything meaningful until higher levels. Grinding doesn't teach you how to play your class properly unless that person was constantly trying to improve themselves which most are not. Even then that is made easier at higher levels when you actually have skills to experiment with.
Wait...if you're in a party, what do you need a PL for? Are we talking a DoW PL? If so that is just plain silly. A DoM PL for a group, I can sort of understand. I have had to multiple times go help heal a few linkshell members in a party because their healer was just so god awful. I actually dont mind because they're friends, and I also enjoying going "LOOK. THIS IS HOW YOU HEAL."
Didn't read all of the posts in this thread, but let me back up this statement: I was getting 1k EXP per mob last night in my 39~43 party as a 36 CON and got to 39 in absolutely no time at all before I hit the sack. I am so goddamned tired of people complaining how hard it is to level in this game.
This game is not hard. This game is easy, if anything, and if you can't work together in a reasonable fashion with other players and get EASY EXPERIENCE POINTS like everyone else, then you seriously need to find a different game. This isn't the one for you.
It's not that hard.
I think you are confusing hard with mind numbing grinding that should've died off 5 years ago.Didn't read all of the posts in this thread, but let me back up this statement: I was getting 1k EXP per mob last night in my 39~43 party as a 36 CON and got to 39 in absolutely no time at all before I hit the sack. Higher levels are also easy, it's painful to level sub 30 with the level variation and something a couple levels higher than you being death.
I really go back and forth on this idea. Sometimes I'm feeling a little lazy that day and some extra help would be nice. But really I like earning my lvls. And as it was stated before, you don't really need a PL a good PT and get crazy EXP with chains and what not.
The only time i would ever really use PL is going to be in my case. Where, once my GF gets her new Pc she going to make her own FFxiv account. Therefor, she's going to have to start over, and I will be PLing her back to 40.
You find it "mind-numbing," I find it entertaining with the right group of people. Right now, this is kind of what we're stuck with, and until 2.0 I doubt it's going to change.
