Again i do not see the point. Either get fast XP or leave.People are amazing. Making me wonder if they even read the situation that the OP was explaining so elaborately. Making me wonder if you even try to understand what we're saying.
The OP was saying he was forced to leave the party, or got his party members stolen from him because someone brought a PL in, in the middle of normal EXP party.
You guys think it's fair to spend an hour or so trying to put together a party, and then in the middle of it, party had to break into halves or disband because someone suddenly remembers that they wanted a PL and decides to bring in a PL? Now look who's killing the fun of other people.
I am not saying they should not be allowed to EXP in a normal party, but at least they should have enough manner not to ruin someone else's party by suddenly bringing in a PL.
If you want to have a PL, fine. Just go and stay with your PL. If you want to join a normal EXP party, that's fine too. But joining a normal EXP party without any notification in advance that "I am bringing in a PL" and then by doing so, you end up crippling the party, making it break, or causing it to disband IS NOT FINE.
Simple
I really think people should get over this powerlevel thing. Most people now just get powerleveled to 25 ish then start 8man groups to grind with till 50. I rarely see people getting powerleveled beyond 25 now and the only reason they do it and I do it is because leveling 1-30 is ridiculously slow. We also have to "earn" it now because we have to claim the mobs, so no use in saying we don't "earn" it lmao.
I am pretty sure the one's complaining fall under the category of not having a good social linkshell and get jealous because they are scared to ask people or just hardheaded fools. Lastly, you don't learn your class by mindlessly grinding to 50; you learn your class by experimenting with abilities, now I wonder how in the world you can experiment with abilities...HMmmm...
It has happened to me when making parties anywhere from 10-40.I really think people should get over this powerlevel thing. Edit;
Anywhere up to 40 I have experienced it. It finally drops off 40+.

Probably your server because on Figaro 90% of the people just form 8man parties to grind which is just as fast as PLing anyways. The only people I ever see getting PLed is 1-30 ish and I don't blame them. Figaro is one of the highest pop servers with Selbina. The point of any MMO is to have fun with your friends and it would surely suck to get behind in levels cause I had to do it the "right" way and be sure to use the same abilities 1 million times to make sure I "learn" it.

How exactly does one "steal your party members". I'm asking because I have put together a great number of EXP parties over the years. An EXP party is:
- Generally a pick up group.
- It is maybe rude to leave it unannounced.
- It is rude to leech if you are expected to be pulling your weight.
- It is not an agreement to do whatever the Party Leader says because it is his/her party.
- People can leave parties if they don't like what the leader is doing.
- Party leaders can remove people they don't want in their party, and then recruit others to replace them.
People joined your random EXP party, probably from a shout in Ul'dah, they didn't elect you their moral compass.
Do you know it takes time and effort to look for members and put together a balanced party?
Yes?
Good.
Now look, someone took time and effort to make a party. After the party is finished, they go out to kill stuff.
Supposed a person who joined without doing any work in recruiting suddenly wanted to get PL'ed, and called their friend to come help PL.
Now, at least half of the party want to welcome PL, while the leader and just 1-2 friends want to continue playing normally.
The party now breaks into half, or 3:5. The 2 groups part ways.
The leader and 2 friends now cannot continue leveling up in that camp because it was originally chosen for a group of 8 people.
If you want to leave the party for a PL, then fine. Just notify the group you're going to leave, and then shout to recruit for your own members. Don't be a lazy ass and use the shortcut by taking other people's ready-made party. Wrecking someone else's party - a party that was doing good and getting EXP - is just rude.
And yeah people have free will to leave the party for whatever reason. But it's another story if you make use of other people, like slaving them to make a party for you without knowing, and then take their members, leaving them in the middle of nowhere.
Yes leader can replace members, but how are they suppose to recruit like, say, 5 members in the middle of EXP camp? Perhaps people in Ul'dah would miraculously see their shout from Camp Glory???
Maybe you're right, people have their own freewill and freedom. But it's against my moral standard to make use of other people's effort, break their party in half, and leave them stranded out there just because I have the FREEDOM to do so.
If you still don't understand what point we're making here, then I have nothing more to say. I tried my best.

As a leveling crafter, I sell my lowbie goods and make a wonderful profit. I see many who do the same on our server.Maybe for those who can't find anything it is possibly a low population of crafters leveling up?
There's hardly any depth to combat that you are going to learn anything meaningful until higher levels. Grinding doesn't teach you how to play your class properly unless that person was constantly trying to improve themselves which most are not. Even then that is made easier at higher levels when you actually have skills to experiment with.
Wait...if you're in a party, what do you need a PL for? Are we talking a DoW PL? If so that is just plain silly. A DoM PL for a group, I can sort of understand. I have had to multiple times go help heal a few linkshell members in a party because their healer was just so god awful. I actually dont mind because they're friends, and I also enjoying going "LOOK. THIS IS HOW YOU HEAL."
I really go back and forth on this idea. Sometimes I'm feeling a little lazy that day and some extra help would be nice. But really I like earning my lvls. And as it was stated before, you don't really need a PL a good PT and get crazy EXP with chains and what not.
The only time i would ever really use PL is going to be in my case. Where, once my GF gets her new Pc she going to make her own FFxiv account. Therefor, she's going to have to start over, and I will be PLing her back to 40.
To Dev
Ignore current levelling system, its fine. Make content please.
