I wonder if the new accs would be significant enough or just a minor upgrade for 4star crafts.
Then again, the focus would be the left side gears, so that should take awhile.

Depending on the difficulty of the multi-class crafted set and availability of materials, you could literally be done for all your classes at once while the people who went for red scrips didn't even fully geared a single class... with inferior stats.A shared set from red scrips means it'll remain relevant for much shorter, since people will be much faster at finishing a set.
Yoshi also noted that the crafted set will be "quite tough" to make, so perhaps the amount of effort required to make a shared set will balance things out.
The gap seems absolutly insane.

Red scrips gear isn't meant for omnicrafters, since those often have ways to accumulate enough wealth to meld the crafted version. Besides, all the relevant recipes with be tied to specialization, so the shared gear would only be effective on 3 DoH jobs at a time.Depending on the difficulty of the multi-class crafted set and availability of materials, you could literally be done for all your classes at once while the people who went for red scrips didn't even fully geared a single class... with inferior stats.

Another noteworthy thing from the famitsu interview is that Yoshi mentioned that red scrip gear can't be overmelded, so there's a chance that it'll have 100% meld slots (similar to current DoW/M gear)
That would change quite a few things. If you can meld 2 Tier V to your Red Scrip Body, it might be better than the Omni-Body with 2 Tier V and 3 Tier IV added to it. That's especially useful for non-omni-crafters.
The new Red Scrip main hand will be very useful again anyway. Just like the 180 MH was very useful until now. It will boost your stats a lot and probably get you to 3 star immediately. You need a separate main hand for each crafter anyway, so you don't really lose anything except time.
Hard to make in what way? Like, should I stop selling off my stock pile of scrip mats? XD
wait what did i miss something the ilvl 180 gear was never usefull, even not the tools ^^ the melding CP are always over every other statsThat would change quite a few things. Nope, CP on MH and OH was totally useless to me.At no time was I reliant on the extra 4 or 8 CP. So 180 OH and MH are great ways to save a lot of Gil. 180 body is an "okay" alternative, too.
Are there any details if the new Crafted Gear will be tied to Specialist Recipes? Looks like I'll be doing all 12 Beast Tribe missions daily for Lore / Eso Tomes + Mog & Ixal. I still have 5 stacks of Oaknots lol

Yeah, it was very nice to read that you'll be able to buy tier IV crafting material with Ixali tokens.
