Looking for help with server change

I'm considering changing servers but I'm not sure which to go to if like a pretty populated server considering I'm from Mateus and it isn't the most populated here and if I do switch I'd like to get in with a good free company because the one I'm in on Mateus is dead litterally like 5 people play and it takes 20-30 minutes to queue as a dps so I'm looking for a server with decent queue times as well so I came here it's out of balmung and Gilgamesh so if you could help that would be great

Okay so one thing:

When you queue in the DF your are not queuing with just your server but with your entire data center. A 20-30 minute queue for a DPS is standard for most content on any server on Aether. There are significantly less tanks than other classes so most the time you are waiting on one (or two or three) to be available. That's not going to change no matter where you go. It won't change on Balmung and Gilgamesh as they are both on the same data center as Mateus.

By "pretty populated" what do you mean? Balmung and Gilgamesh are the most populated servers in the game true, but if your problem is that you are in a small FC and want more people have you tried finding a larger one? Most servers do have some large FCs. Mateus (and Balmung and Gilgamesh) are NA servers, are you playing at times when they should be busy? Do you want to raid or not?

Basically if the main reason you want to transfer is queue times I'd suggest playing your WAR instead, and save yourself the $18.

i also had a problem with the amount of people doing fates in mateus even in prime time theres still very little people doing fates and the free company problem is the only people that seem to be nice and helpful are the ones in the smaller fcs and a large amount of people get on just to do crafting and gathering and that is it and ive been trying to get into other classes like BLM because i like the class system and the diversity so id like a place where even if the queue times are long there would be some people doing fates in key areas for my level

20-30 min que for DPS is normal and will be the same no matter where you go as there are less tanks and healers compared to DPS.

Also when you que you are queing for the whole data center not just your server. Moving wont fix this.

Unless you want to do ex primal/ raid content go for Gilgamesh, if not really worth it DF queues don't change.

Fates outside of Coerthas Central Highlands and possibly crystal farming aren't going to be very active on any server, and post-50 you're better off doing beast tribe dailies and Centurio hunts while in queue anyway. Not that there aren't good reasons to want a larger server - PF pugs for harder content are more feasible, and the static raiding system is a lot more functional when quality subs aren't non-existent (though perhaps raid finder helps here). But your $18 isn't going to a ton for your solo leveling process.

Personally, I'm much happier on Gilgamesh than I ever was on Balmung, which is where I started. I'm more a crafter than a raider these days, but I see plenty of people running fates and PF is always active. Plus, Idyllshire is always enjoyable to afk in.

We convinced a Mateus player who popped up near the aetheryte in Gridania to switch over to cactuar about a month ago. She seems to be happy with the change.

My alt is on Cactuar and that's where i spend most of my time these days playing with friends, as my other friends on Tonberry stopped playing for now and are on break, and i'll agree Cactuar is a really nice server, Aygax try and make an alt and check out the server/servers for yourself...spend a few hours or even a day and just explore and check out the other zones, chat with that servers player community and see what its like.
