Question on Housing Wards

So, I wanted to ask a clarifying question on travel between the various wards.

Basically, I'm looking at a few small houses that I really like. My question is this:

Say I wake up and log in to the game on patch morning and go to the plot I want to discover it's already sold. So, I want to try that same plot in a different ward. What is the fastest way to travel to a different ward? I checked out the local Aetherytes near said plot and there didn't seem to be an option to move to a different ward number.

So, is the only way to go back to the main city and then select it from that main Aetheryte?

You can also zone out fo the housing area, an re-enter into another ward, but it's the same you have to exit the ward you're in, and then enter an other one...
So I guess warp to your city then come back is the fastest :/
Having the same trouble in mind, maybe the better is to log in right at the housing area entrance, knowing your plot number, then check which ward has it free.

Oooh, you're so right. Derp on me. I totally forgot it shows a list of the plot numbers and if they are occupied before you even enter a ward.

I guess there's still a chance though, that it shows free when you look and then is sold by the time you actually get there. LOL, unlikely but possible.

There's a couple of ways to swap inside the wards.

Changing wards in each district:
Mist: Storm Private at Mist South (Docks), or exit via Mistgate Square and select a new ward.
Lavender Beds: Serpent Private/Ferry Skipper at Amethyst Shallows
Goblet: Flame Private/Exit at Goblet North

Subdivisions (Plots 31-60):
If the ward you chose has the house you want taken, try the subdivision (plots 31-60) for that ward and see if that's available. Be aware that you can only get to the subdivision from the main ward's aetheryte crystals and unless something changes with the patch, even if you select the subdivision from the ward listing, you still get loaded into the main ward. EX: You see a house open in Ward 7 subdivision and select to go there, it will load you into Ward 7 and then you will be required to use the aetheryte crystals to load into the subdivision so you can see plots 31 to 60.
